Message	It seems like a different sound than the transmission whine, more like a bad bearing sound, but I'll check the boot. I changed the shifter bushing last year and everything was OK then. My son and his buddy put in a short shifter a little while after that. They could have torn the boot and of course not said anything. Thanks for the input.
